Welcome To The Newnham Nursery Website

We aim to provide high-quality, term-time early years education in a safe and welcoming environment, with a structured daily routine and a strong focus on child development, children are supported to grow in confidence, independence, and a love of learning.
Each day follows a familiar and reassuring structure, balancing free play, adult-led learning, outdoor activity, snack time, group lunches with the teachers and quiet moments, this routine helps children feel secure while encouraging independence and curiosity, when possible we use the facilities of Newnham Croft Primary School including playgrounds and the main hall.
Newnham Nursery places strong emphasis on preparing children for the transition to primary school, children are supported to develop early literacy and numeracy skills, a love for books, social confidence, independence, and emotional resilience — helping them move on feeling ready and confident.

At Newnham Nursery, we focus on fostering holistic development, ensuring that every child's intellectual, social, emotional, and physical needs are met.
We believe in a play-based learning approach with clear learning intentions which covers all EYFS areas that encourages children to explore, inquire, and express themselves through hands-on activities.
Our experienced and qualified team offer a wide range of activities in a safe, inclusive and stimulating environment, giving each child the opportunity to explore a variety of topics through supervised play allowing the children to progress at their own pace.
We support a ‘key person’ structure and offer a high teacher to child ratio that enables us to provide a high quality learning environment. The owner / manager is also part of the daily ratio.
Parents are valued as essential partners in each child’s learning journey. Regular communication, shared observations, and informal feedback help ensure children receive consistent support both at nursery and at home.
