ADMISSIONS

Admissions : We accept children from 2½ years old up school age. The minimum attendance is two mornings per week.

Nursery Timings:  Please note that we are open Mondays to Fridays during term times only and our sessions are from 9:00 am to 14:30 pm. We do not open weekends or during school holidays.

Registration Fee : A £20.00 registration fee is required for each child under the age of 3 years old. This is non-refundable, even if you decide not to attend.

Waiting list : We will inform you at the time of your enquiry if there is a vacancy or if there is a waiting list. We offer places on a first come first serve basis once you have registered with us.

Notice of Withdrawal : The nursery runs on a set budget and relies on receiving the fees for all available places. Therefore six weeks’ advance notice is required for withdrawal of a child from the nursery. Parents who withdraw their children without notice will be charged in lieu of notice, this includes funding should you want to transfer it to another setting

Terms & Conditions : Upon registration you will also be sent the terms and conditions of the nursery. Please read and sign these.

FUNDING

The 'Early Years Funding' or 'Learning Entitlement' is often referred to as ‘NEF’ or ‘EYC’.

Newnham Nursery operates within this scheme which entitles eligible two to four year olds to ‘free education’ for up to 15 or 30 hours per week up to the maximum of 38 weeks for the academic year.

The nursery applies for and collects funding on your behalf. You are required to sign and date a 'Parent Declaration', which we will send you, as evidence that you are attending the nursery.

If you are entitled to 2 year old funding or 30 hour funding, you must obtain a letter of acknowledgment with a ‘Unique Reference Code’ from the Family and Childcare Information Services department. (fis@cambridgeshire.gov.uk). We cannot apply or collect your funding without this number.
