OUR SESSIONS
We offer a wide range of activities giving each child the opportunity to explore a variety of topics through supervised play to develop basic skills & knowledge necessary for a good start into school
Sessions are planned around themes developed through the course of term by the children and the staff. The children's work is often displayed on the walls which encourages them to take pride in the group and their individual work and a sense of belonging

OUR SETTING
Newnham Nursery is situated in the grounds of Newnham Croft Primary School. We hold our sessions in the community room of the school, it is a large, bright and airy room, providing a very adaptable play area.
Our setting designed to inspire curiosity and creativity, offering children a safe space to learn, play, and grow.
Outside there is a secure enclosed well equipped playground, decorated with bright wall murals and equipped with a large wooden playhouse, sit-and-ride toys and a large sandpit. A joining the room there is a small kitchen, cloakroom & toilets.
We share the community room with the out of school club
NEWNHAM CROFT SCHOOL
The nursery enjoys close links and association with the main school. We have use of their ample facilities, including their playgrounds, the school hall, music room, cookery suite.
Close liaison with the school ensures that our nursery is working towards the same goals as children in the reception year at school. Children who will be leaving the nursery at the end of the year have an opportunity to visit the reception class and meet their new teachers.
We are NOT a feeder nursery to the school, although many of our children do join the school in the reception year. Attending the nursery does not guarantee automatic placement within the school
